| Cheryl grew up in Lincoln, RI and
now resides on a small farm in Glocester with her family. She holds a
federal US Fish and Wildlife license and a State of RI license for
Wildlife Rehabilitation (the caring of sick, injured and orphaned
wildlife). Compassion for animals, along with a deep love of nature, led
to an interest in photographing natural beauty.
A member of the Member of the Professional
Photographers of America and the
Photographic Society of
Rhode Island, She is a 2008 graduate from
the Rhode Island School of Design and enjoys digital imaging as
well as 35 mm and 4 x 5 large format photography.
As a published photographer, you
can find several of her wedding photographs in Bride and Groom Magazine.
Cheryl’s butterfly pictures have been used in brochures for the New
England Botanical Gardens and were used in various publications
including Rhode Island Monthly. She is a lifelong resident of the
Blackstone Valley and a photographer for the John H Chaffee Blackstone
River Valley National Heritage Corridor's National Park Service. Her
images have been used in their advertising campaigns and in several
local newspapers, publications, banners and posters. She has given
clinics in photography for “Woman in the Outdoors” and the National Park
Service. She is also a webmaster for RI Canoe and Kayak's
Flatwater site
and
Whitewater website as well as developing and maintaining the website
for the
Blackstone Valley Paddle Club.
